EasierSoft Bulk Barcode Generator and Label Printing Software |
Import Data From Excel / Spreadsheet |
Button Functions: |

|
Load Data From Excel: |
Click this button to open a file selection window and choose an Excel file to import data from. The Excel file must follow the format required by the software. The program can automatically generate a blank Excel sheet in the standard format—simply enter your data into this sheet or copy data from another Excel file into the standard template, and then import it into the software for bulk barcode printing. |
This program supports only the older Excel 2003 (.xls) format. However, if you are using a newer version of Excel, you can convert your file by going to File → Save As and saving it in the Excel 2003 format, which will allow the software to read it. |

|
Copy Data From Excel: |
This feature works with any version of Excel. You can copy and paste data directly into the program and use it for bulk barcode printing. It also offers multiple filtering and editing tools, making it easy to select and copy the exact data you want for printing barcode labels. |

|
Save As: |
Use this option to export the currently imported data into a TXT or CSV file for future use. After importing data, you may need to further edit, sort, or filter it. Once your edits are complete, you can save the processed data so you won’t need to repeat the editing work the next time you use it. |

|
Data Editor: |
This feature works similarly to an Excel sheet and supports batch data editing. It can automatically generate sequences of data—such as serial numbers or enumerated values—making it useful for creating complex barcode number sequences. You can use it to perform secondary editing on data imported from Excel or manually enter new data directly in the Data Editor. Since it supports batch entry, it greatly improves efficiency. |

|
Data Filtering Menu: |
When printing barcode labels, this feature allows you to filter and print only the specific barcode entries you need. For example, when applying barcode labels to product packaging, you may find that some labels were lost or damaged. In that case, you can use this feature to select only the required barcode numbers from your saved dataset and reprint those labels. |
The filtering system supports flexible multi-stage filtering, allowing you to repeatedly narrow down a dataset until you get exactly the data you need. This feature will be explained in more detail in a separate article. |

Summary: Importing Excel Data for Bulk Barcode |
Two main data-import methods: |
Load Data From Excel — opens a file dialog to import an Excel spreadsheet. The spreadsheet must adhere to the software’s required format (the site can generate a blank “standard template” sheet that you fill in or paste data into from another spreadsheet). |
Copy Data From Excel — allows copying and pasting data directly from any Excel version into the program’s internal table. This is useful if your Excel file does not match the template format. |
Supported Excel format: The software only reads the older Excel 2003 “.xls” format. If your data is in a newer Excel version (e.g. .xlsx), you must re-save or export it as “Excel 2003 (.xls)” for successful import. |
Built-in data tools after import: Once data is imported, users can edit it within the software’s “Data Editor” — similar to a spreadsheet — including: |
Batch editing (e.g. mass changes) |
Auto-generating sequences (e.g. serial numbers or enumerated values) |
Filtering data to select a subset for printing (e.g. if you only need certain barcodes now, or reprint lost labels) Saving and exporting data: After editing/importing, you can export the data to a CSV or TXT file using the “Save As” option. This lets you save your prepared data set for future reuse, avoiding repeated manual edits. |
